COVID Safe Event Plan

The Flannagan Cup will follow Ministry of Health NZ guidelines to ensure the Flannagan Cup open water swim event is a COVID Safe Event that does not put athletes, officials, staff or the local community at a higher risk of infection. The event team will be increasing preventive measures for everyone on-site, such as providing hand sanitisation stations and cleaning high traffic areas to minimise the spread of COVID-19. There will also be face masks available if required.

Due to current COVID-19 Ministry of Health guidelines, the Flannagan Cup will be a spectator event, and go ahead as planned unless the regional or national Alert Level is raised from Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 2. If the regional Alert Level is raised to Alert Level 2 or higher, then the event will be cancelled.

The Flannagan Cup Team would like to thank the participants and spectators in advance for their ongoing cooperation and support.
